Not everybody lives but...There was a darkness. It was a darkness only achievable by staring at the inside of her eyelids. She did not need to see to feel that odd sensation one felt when they needed to yawn. Despite trying to keep her jaws shut tight it only caused her jaws to tremble slightly as they parted wide allowing a yawn to pass. Not even the hum of life touched her silvery auds here, there was nothing to distract her from her thoughts. Recently she'd noticed an increase in her size, in her appetite and even in her trouble moving around. She was tired and she spent most of her days resting, Nova had no idea what was wrong with her. Her head was placed neatly upon her darker grey paws and air in the form of a sigh was passed through her nose. Even while she was as clam as she was the sound of her heartbeat echoed in her head. It was quick, loud unusual.
The sound of sticks cracking nearby woke her from her 'meditation' and in an instant (though slower than normal for Nova) she was on her paws ready to attack. Unfortunately, as her eyes flicked open she was blinded by the daylight. Black splotches distorted her vision, but she maintained a defensive stance. The fur along her spine bristled in warning. However, she was surprised by her blindness and stumbled sideways, her silvery skull shook and lowered trying to understand what it was that was happening. Finally she felt dizzy but, everything was becoming clearer now. Amethyst vaults searched the Earth, it was decorated with brightly coloured leaves. Perhaps it was a stick beneath her own body cracking beneath her own weight. Maybe she was going crazy. Crazier, anyway.
Everybody dies...

DYVIX Another clever word..... [/blockquote] ----------------------------------------------- The brute was an onlooker, as he often was. Buried deep within the velvet shadows that were cast in the space behind a hill. Even in the daytime, he could, almost always, find a shadow to blend in with. The scar on his face was a pale reminder to him why he should be cautious, but, the wolf he was observing was a pretty young femme that was completely alone. He had spent some time debating with himself on weither or not to move to her view, she had already been alerted to his essances when he moved to look at her and crushed a stick beneath his paws. She was just a femme, a pretty femme, he clung to the thought as he stepped out into the daylight. It made the blue flecks in his pelt gleam, like water falls pouring down rocks, the pale blue markings on his deep grey pelt. He was handsome, appealing. He knew this, he knew the only thing that normaly pulled the eye away was his scar. A pale tear across his jowls. Hello, beautiful, what brings such a lovely essance like your own to the hills.
He stated in his normal velvet tone. He couldn't help the natural push to charm her. To flirt. [/blockquote][/blockquote] ----------------------------------------------- Sets off and unsuspecting herd.... [/blockquote]

Nothing satisfies me...In her slight panic she'd momentarily forgotten where she was. With so many black splotches the place hardly looked like any place she had ever been. True to her blood she had absolutely no sense of direction what-so-ever. This caused her to panic, and when Nova panicked, there was little good to come. The bright sunlight reflected off her shimmering silver pelt, it warmed her though Nova wasn't sure she liked the heat. However, whatever it was that she was feeling, whatever it was she was thinking was suddenly interrupted by a voice. It was a warm tone, smooth, but to Nova any words spoken in such a tone were lies.
Hello, beautiful, what brings such a lovely essence like your own to the hills.
It surprised her a little, the words could not be lies, they had been neatly arranged into the form of a question. As the dark blotches faded away, her vision became more clear and now she could see him fully. Ebonite rims narrowed so that her eyes might glare at him through tiny slits in her greyish facade. Amaranthine vaults shifted searched the stranger, they absorbed the colours of his pelt, the colour of his eyes, the shape of his body. When she had studied him enough she fought the urge to sink her ivory fangs into his soft flesh. Upper lip twitched as her mind composed a response. "Didn't your mother teach you never to talk to strangers?" She hissed in response. Her empty gaze rested upon him still. There was no emotion shown, the fur along her back began to smooth and there was no fear or anger to be seen. The only hint of irritation was in her smooth, soft voice. After a few moments of stillness she lowered her hindquarters resting her lower half on the ground. With each breath her already round sides bulged slightly.
But your soul...

DYVIX A sheep in wolves clothing........ [/blockquote] ----------------------------------------------- A soft chuckle seeped from dark, parted rims. It's nice to know you care about a brutes well being, even when, he is looking out for such a pretty thing like yourself.
the words were coated in his velvet tone. He was unbothered by her defensive nature. But, rather, impressed. He was a rather large brute, not one most femme's would take on if persued. His sensitive ears were taking in all the sounds they could manage. The songs of the birds, the splash of the creek, even the swaying of the grass, her voice was but a memory now. His pale blue markings seemed rather bright when the sun hit them, adding a strange hue to his pelt. You are rather, small, to be out here all alone, not to mention that there is something slightly, different about your scent than most. Are you ill? He knew how to impress femmes. He could read most of them, determine how to "wow" them. Some liked males who acted tough and strong, cruel even, while others, enjoy a more, sweet, pleasent male. But, this femme was rather hard to read. But, one thing he was sure of was she was a pack wolf. One claimed to a family. One with somewhere to be. Why was she here? So, What brings a lovely essance like you to the hills, such a pretty wolf must have an assignment straight from her lord to be sent here of all places. He wondered if she would be surprised he knew she was a pack wolf. He chuckled. A velvet chuckle that sounded out of place coming from him. [/blockquote][/blockquote] ----------------------------------------------- Leaves many questions unanswered.... What is this that I can't see...
It's nice to know you care about a brutes well being, even when, he is looking out for such a pretty thing like yourself.
Her silvery auds twitched to the sound of his voice. It took a moment for the words to register in her mind, however when they did she could only scoff at the thought that she might need someone like him to 'look out' for her. She had a lord for that and in fact she believed it her job to look out for him. Violet optics rolled in her sockets as he continued speak. She remained silent, why she wasn't sure. She remained there as well, despite the urge to turn and walk away.
"You are rather, small, to be out here all alone, not to mention that there is something slightly, different about your scent than most. Are you ill?"
Small? She isolated that word and allowed a soft growl to rumble in her throat. Then it was cut off by a new word. Ill. She recognized the scent she was giving off, but it was impossible. Her long plume curled around her rear limbs as she listened. As usual she took a few moments to respond, making sure it was exactly what she meant."Yes, I am. Your presence makes me quite nauseous in fact." Her voice was now bored instead of angry. Truthfully she was feeling a bit nauseous and a little dizzy as well. The feelings only worsened when he spoke yet again and she naturally attempted to focus on his words and listen to the stupidity that poured past his lips.
"So, What brings a lovely essence like you to the hills, such a pretty wolf must have an assignment straight from her lord to be sent here of all places."
She was not at all surprised that he knew she was part of a pack, it was as easy as him telling her she was ill. Of course when he mentioned her lord she nearly tackled him to the Earth, her muscles tensed and there was a new fire in her dull violet gaze. There was hardly a pause between his words and her own. "You have no business with orders given by my Lord." She ended it with that allowing her muscles to relax slightly keeping her guard up. It irked her slightly that it was this brute asking all the questions and she answering. She felt she had no business answering to this peasant.
With ice cold hands taking hold of me...

DYVIX I fear not the night [/blockquote] ----------------------------------------------- She was a rather defensive femme. He could tell this by all of her reactions. He was surprised she answered at all. So she was ill. He felt a slight pinch of curiousity as he jaws parted, What are you ill with?
It was something anyone would have asked. Expecialy someone as bold as himself. He only chuckled at her next reaction, just like most, the mention of their lord was out of the question when it came to a loner. SHe looked ready to rip out his throat. Relax, it is your choise to be lead not mine. He's your lord. He stretched out with a sigh before laying down. He was unworried about being attacked at this time. [/blockquote][/blockquote] ----------------------------------------------- It's the day that scares me.... [/blockquote]

The very air you breathe... Her narrowed vaults watched him with little interest as he lowered his body. Clearly he did not feel threatened by her, probably because of her 'illness' as he called it. He'd spoken before lowering his body though, the words were stowed away in her memory. Nova reluctantly plucked those words from her memory and allowed them to be new to her again.
What are you ill with?
Again her dark eyes rolled. She was not ill, necessarily, or at least as far as she knew. She lifted her body from the Earth and continued to eye him this time her steady limbs brought her closer to him. Nova didn't know this canine, and she would not part with such personal information. Well, besides the fact that she had no idea what was wrong with her. A soft sigh passed her charred lips again, her mind could find nothing rude to say in this moment. She'd figure out something, though. Her empty gaze searched for his, the fur along her back prickled again as her body came closer to his. "I'm sure a bright boy like you can figure it out." The words were more spat and less spoken, they mocked him.
"Relax, it is your choice to be lead not mine. He's your lord."
Again she scoffed. Choice to be led? Charred lips peeled away from ivory fangs and her jaws parted in warning."Tread carefully, fool. Your ignorance does not impress." Nova was only touchy about her lord, but he was not only her lord but her dearest brother. Not by blood perhaps but her pack was her family, if ever she had felt love it was for her pack. Not even her true family could boast such a bond, especially not now as Nova had killed each and every one of them. Impostors they were, all of them. Nostril flared as they took in the scent of this loner, she felt pity, nothing more. "You know nothing of my lord. He leads because we allow it, he serves us perhaps more than we serve him. Do not fool yourself, I do not choose to be lead. I choose to allow them to live, we are his strength and he ours."The anger and irritation fled her voice for these moment that she spoke of him and the others. How she adored her master. Of course Nova could not maintain this mask of kindness. "Do you dare challenge that?" She questioned with a cruel, crooked grin plastered upon her silver facade.
It cometh and go with me..

DYVIX I'm running up hill... [/blockquote] ----------------------------------------------- If you want me to guess, since you don't appear crippled, and your "ill" scent is faint. I would guess i am not the first loner you have come across, that or you have become too close to your lord. Since you are a pack femme, and your scent is off. I would guess you are in the early stages of baring pups. He stated rather calmly for a loner to be pointing it out. He had no other guesses other than that one. He had never hung around a pregnate femme, he only knew they smelt different and were rather touchy. Common among the packs. He chuckled. I challenge nothing of your "family".
He stated glancing to her before he lapped at his paw. [/blockquote][/blockquote] ----------------------------------------------- Digging my own grave... [/blockquote]

The more I see...
"If you want me to guess, since you don't appear crippled, and your "ill" scent is faint. I would guess i am not the first loner you have come across, that or you have become too close to your lord. Since you are a pack femme, and your scent is off. I would guess you are in the early stages of baring pups."
She winced as he finished speaking. It had seemed that way to her as well and this only confirmed her suspicion. How though, she was not sure that had been the last thing she'd expected. Perhaps her body was play tricks on her, again there was some panic. Her body shifted in discomfort, if he knew then it would not be hard for her master to figure out either. Again she had no response for him, this angered her even more but there was little she could do in her current state."I owe you no explanations." The voice was soft again and she lowered her fragile frame back to the Earth again. He was no threat, not trying to hurt her, it was simply who she was to want to tear him apart. It was like her to want to rip his dreams away and break him mentally. This time, Nova was simply too tired for this.
Greyish cranium lowered also, to rest on her steely paws and her dark eyelids slid closed for a moment."There is no life within me."She reassured herself and him both. She wanted to believe it, what would her lord say? She'd not mated with a loner, she'd not mated with a lower rank either, this pregnancy seemed impossible. Perhaps it was karma, or her old family haunting her. Maybe it was her imagination, perhaps he was not real either. She opened her dark purpley vaults to study him again, he seemed so real, too real to be a mere hallucination. I suppose that is what happens when you are so crazy for so long.
The less I like.

DYVIX What you don't know... [/blockquote] ----------------------------------------------- Sure there isn't, love. It's just a tummy ache.
he cooed rather mockingly. Needless to say he was not sure that was what was wrong with her. But, the way she was acting and the way she smelled were similar. Combinded. Maybe you should go talk to your packs great "herald", or whatever you have dubbed them. He was one of the many loners who have strayed from the packs ways, and therefore the guidance and beliefs in the heralds. Or do your saviors still hide from you? Haven't heard news of any being around, who knows, maybe the seed you bare could be the next. he mocked. He knew he was pushing her, the packs were defensive over their heralds. He chuckled. [/blockquote][/blockquote] ----------------------------------------------- May lead to your demise.... This will be...
"Sure there isn't, love. It's just a tummy ache."
Again a low growl rumbled in her throat, she allowed it to pass through her jaws this time so that he could hear her irritation."Thankyou kind doctor." The sarcasm in her voice was apparent, now and again she rose to her paws and moved away from him. Nova hadn't completely gotten over pacing back and forth like a terrified puppy, she was getting there though. She didn't pace now, though, she tried her best to seem calm and collected. This was not a matter for outsiders, it would not be appropriate for a beta to share her problems with someone outside the pack, and Nova wasn't one for sharing anyway.
"Maybe you should go talk to your packs great "herald", or whatever you have dubbed them...Or do your saviors still hide from you? Haven't heard news of any being around, who knows, maybe the seed you bare could be the next. "
Her body turned away as he spoke and now her back was to him. A snort broke the silence from her end and her head turned to glare at him over her left shoulder."How quickly you go from flattering to insulting." Her tones were once again bored. Nova voice was soft as usual, but his words could do her no harm. Nova was a femme who was quite content with her place in life, and with who she was. She enjoyed the ride anyway and the opinion of one idiotic loner could not persuade her to think she was anything less than what she believed she was. Nova had never met a Herald, not the herald of Ryl or any other land. This title meant nothing to her as it was the individual with the title that she grew to love and protect. His mocking of that title didn't phase her, his mocking of her fetus... Nova cared less for the potential pup, fatherless and still within her womb, than anything else she could think of. The entire time she was worried about her lord. What would he say? Would he believe that she had not mated with anyone? That she would not dare allow any male but her lord to come near her without the lord's permission?
She was once again lost in thought, hoping that the brute would speak again and free her from her cell within her own mind. She prayed that she was not destined forever to sit and listen to her heart beat and that much fainter heartbeat that echoed her own. Or perhaps it did not echo her own, as when her heart stopped it continued on. Fear filled her amethyst stare which she quickly diverted from him and instead placed it upon the brightly coloured Earth. The sun reflected off of the small water droplets left over from morning that clung to the leaves that rested upon the warm autumn Earth. The light from the water reflected right into her dark eyes illuminating them and amplifying their fearful violet hue.
All over soon.

DYVIX You have no idea who i am.... [/blockquote] ----------------------------------------------- He sat for a long while and stared at her. It seems you don't care about the heralds, the ones who created your pack. Seems as though you could care less about weither they returned or not. You are no better than the new generation wolves. Heartless mutants. One thing he shared with most old generation wolves, a natural hatered for the New generation. He chuckled. Is that why you hide your seed? Does it carrie new generation blood?
The question was asked softly. He chuckled again. Watching the femme. [/blockquote][/blockquote] ----------------------------------------------- I am not surprised..... [/blockquote]

Her self-esteem is tragic...
"It seems you don't care about the heralds, the ones who created your pack. Seems as though you could care less about whether they returned or not. You are no better than the new generation wolves. Heartless mutants."
Eyes danced to catch his gaze, how arrogant could this one fool be? A snarl passed Ivory rows of glistening fangs sharper than daggers and she rushed to fill the following silence."You dare speak to me as if it were I who made them abandon us, you who turned your back on them altogether. You speak of a generation to young to understand what we use to be? I have never met the heralds, but trust is for those who earn it not those who show up claiming to have some ungodly powers and abilities. Heartless, perhaps, but I am the Earth's creation and I do what I was born to do. You, you're just a coward. No sense of duty... Useless" The last word, she hissed and it hung on the tip of her sharp tongue. New, old Gen, she didn't care. Nova hated them all equally, she lived to serve her pack. Though she could be cruel and unforgiving, she had hope for what was left of her misguided species. The way she saw it was that if it was not meant to be it simply would not be, the new generations were brothers nonetheless. It was a belief she shared openly, but she knew when to keep it quiet. Of course she could be very bitter and if she'd known that all the hate for the second gens would get her so caught up in events, perhaps she would never have been so forgiving of their differences. His hatred for the ones that were unlike himself could be nothing but bad.
"Is that why you hide your seed? Does it carrie new generation blood? "
Again she was caught of guard by the new possibilities, she knew nothing of the the powers of the new generation, perhaps they could have... No. She shook the thought but, without knowing the father she couldn't honestly say."That is...quite possible."She whispered to herself, the words were meant for only her ears, to be inaudible to anyone else. However, Nova could not judge his hearing, it was quite possibly better than most. "I have nothing to hide, do you know how pups are made? I'm telling you it is not possible for something to be growing in there." She reassured herself more than him. Nova was not a fool, she tried to be as logical as possible. Logically without having mated with a male there could be no pups. That meant as far as Nova was concerned, there was another reason for these symptoms. In other words, until the monster was born she was not pregnant. A disgusted look remained plastered across her dark features, the hatred in her eyes burned.
And her intuition is magic.

DYVIX My words are not my own [/blockquote] ----------------------------------------------- I do dare to speak of you like that, even though i have turned my back on the heralds and their ways. I would not have said those words if i did not.
This brute was very logical when he wanted to be. His dark rims pulled back in responce to her growl. It was a natural response. When his teeth were once again covered he couldn't help but chuckle. Expecialy since he had indeed heard the words she had not ment him to. What a thought, a new generation wolf who can impregnate a fae without mating with her. He spat cruely. The tone was still velvet, but, the cold mockery was there too. I do know how pups are made, i have been with faes before. But, since you do believe in those more powerful than you, the heralds are suposed to be god like. Maybe they placed the seed within you, to birth the new herald for your pack. his words were as plain a sadistic joke as any other. What a thought. None of this ment anything to him. Maybe your lord would know more of the heralds abilities than i. He stated laying his head on his paws once more. [/blockquote][/blockquote] ----------------------------------------------- They are my hearts...... [/blockquote]
